Problem

Most enterprise IT organizations today face several daunting challenges in executing their overall business charters due to increasing cost compression. These challenges make it difficult to attract and retain full-time talent and often drive the outsourcing of development efforts, especially to offshore teams where the challenges can be very impactful:

Sirrus7 is teaming up with coding bootcamps, Universities, and non-profit organizations to create a unique program which provides experienced senior-level enterprise software engineers coupled with hand-picked, high-aptitude, and performant junior software engineers from underserved communities including veterans and spouses, women, people of color, and people in regions that have struggled economically.  The POD engages to execute against our clients’ backlogs utilizing their processes, frameworks, tools, infrastructure, security protocols and governance overlays. Extremely well seasoned, senior engineers guarantee the work gets done in the most time/cost/quality effective means possible while simultaneously “training up” the junior engineers in the environment that is native to the client.

 

The POD model provides these key advantages:

 

  • Blended rates across the team are market equivalent to lower skilled offshore development teams

  • PODs are tightly bound with the client's development team for much tighter coupling and a higher degree of efficiency and quality
